Join The Clayton Center on Saturday, June 15, as we present an unforgettable Juneteenth performance, "Soul of Langston." The one-man drama, starring Daron P. Stewart, reveals the bitter-sweet wit and wisdom of the poetry of Langston Hughes - one of the most eloquent American poets to have sung about the wounds caused by social and political injustice.
The free event also features performances by local gospel choirs and will be followed by a reception in The Clayton Center lobby. The program, which is sponsored by The Clayton Center and the Town of Clayton, begins at 3:00pm.
Come together in unity and joy as we honor the past, embrace the present, and envision a future of equality for all.
